How ordering works
Choose New South Wales or the Australian Capital Territory. The intake form changes to match the law of that jurisdiction.
Before any substantive instructions, you confirm a small number of capacity and identity questions. If you cannot complete the form yourself, you can flag that and we will phone you and arrange an in-person appointment.

Before submission you read and sign a Costs Disclosure that meets the requirements of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) or the Legal Profession Act 2006 (ACT). The Disclosure is the binding statement of fees for your matter.
Most documents are drafted and ready for review within seven business days. Where the document calls for special instructions or out-of-the-ordinary circumstances, we tell you the realistic timing on the first phone call.
You attend our office in Sydney or Wollongong (or in your home if you cannot attend), the document is executed in our presence, and the fee is paid at that point by card or transfer. No payment is taken before delivery.
Important to know
This is not legal advice. The intake form gathers your instructions; the resulting document is drafted by a solicitor at Good Legal Lawyers under retainer. Until the retainer is opened and the Costs Disclosure is signed, nothing said on this site amounts to legal advice for your matter.
Capacity matters. You must have the capacity to make the document at the time you sign it. We assess capacity in conference with you. If we have any concern about capacity, we will tell you so and arrange a medical opinion before drafting proceeds.
You must be the person giving the instructions. A will, power of attorney, or guardianship cannot be ordered by a friend, relative, or carer on someone else's behalf. If you are concerned that a family member needs one of these documents but cannot complete the form, phone the office and we will speak with them directly.
